Arab Weather Center issues forecasts for winter 2024/2025 in the Gaza Strip
Arab Weather - The Executive Director of the Arab Weather Center said in a media interview on the Nabd program that the seasonal forecasts for the Gaza Strip indicate that rainfall will be higher than its normal rates in the northern regions of the Strip, which exceed 120 mm of rain, while rainfall decreases to around its rates or less in the central and southern regions of the Strip.
Regarding temperatures, Al-Shaker confirmed that the region, including Gaza, will be affected by the recurrence of the extension of the so-called Siberian high, which leads to the onset of cold waves and temperatures colder than their usual rates in several parts of the Strip.
In light of these expectations and the fact that the displaced people in the Gaza Strip who live in tents are still suffering from a shortage of clothes, bedding and blankets and the difficulty of providing them in light of the current circumstances that the Gaza Strip is experiencing, these expectations cannot be viewed in isolation from what the people of Gaza are suffering from, which the winter season will exacerbate their suffering.
Al-Shaker also said that the entire region is experiencing a state of drought and little rainfall, but several parts of the Palestinian coast, including Gaza, have witnessed frequent rainfall over the past weeks.
And God knows best.
